HOMEMADE FILIPINO FISH BALLS RECIPE


INGREDIENTS:

400 g of ALASKA POLLACK FILLET
1 EGG
1 ONION
1 tsp of minced GINGER
2 1/4 of FLOUR
2 tbsp of BAKING POWDER
2 tbsp of CORNSTARCH (dissolve in 2 tbsp of water)
2 tbsp of SUGAR
1 tbsp of minced GARLIC
1 tsp of SALT
1 tsp of OYSTER SAUCE
some BLACK PEPPER POWDER
some COOKING OIL

PROCEDURE:

first grind the onion and ginger
Then wash the fillet (fish), squeeze well and grind also.

In a bowl add ALL THE INGREDIENTS:
minced onion, ginger, grind fish fillet,
flour, baking powder, sugar, black pepper powder,minced garlic
egg, (If you want color white fish balls just add the egg white) only.
cornstarch (dissolved IT IN 2 TBSP OF WATER), 
THEN salt and oyster sauce
I added more flour (2 1/4 cup all in all) USING THE POWDER MEASUREMENT
COVER and put it in the fridge for about one hour

After one hour in a cooking paper spread some cooking oil
add some oil in your both hands and start to make balls

In a boiling water add balls one by one and leave it for about 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes strain it
if you want to fry it right away you can put it in the kitchen paper towel to absorb the water well.
you can add it in pansit, chapsuey etc.

let try to fry some, 

CHECK IF THE COOKING OIL IS READY
fry it for just 2 TO 3 MINUTES IN A MEDIUM HEAT
AFTER 3 MINUTES IT'S DONE.
